Steady & Committed!

Hope House of Hospitality / 1985-2020

A Christian "Home Away From Home" ministry serving out-patients with cancer for 35 years.

Dear friends of Hope House,

I would like to begin by thanking Wanda, Dana and Mia for serving our family every day required to, without interruption complete their cancer treatments during the covid-19 pandemic.

Our guests were very concerned that we would close and they would be forced to resume their treatments at a later date.  Not Good! To stay open was a prayerful decision and all required safety precautions were followed.  Faithful volunteer and board member, Gerry Gray-Lewis provided covid awareness training information according to CDC and state requirements for staff and guests.

Hope House remains open and we have accepted every cancer patient referred to us from Baptist, St. Dominic and UMMC. We continue to maintain physical distancing, sanitizing, temperatures and hand washing.

We are very appreciative of the service given by every hospital employee that served throughout this very difficult time in our history. We are also appreciative to every financial supporter and volunteer that serves our very special family. Right now, one of our volunteers, Mike Brister is doing our lawn that is almost 4 acres.  Big job!!  He has done this for years.

Every email, card, telephone call and your donations shared with us during these last couple of months has been so encouraging. Big Shout Out to First Baptist Jackson Ladies and former guest, Pamela Watkins for making our face masks. Loving our park bench donated by Linda Speights & Friends of Prentiss, MS. Your words and prayers have been most appreciated. Thank you again for supporting us. Thank God for His Faithfulness.
